For Paulinyi & Partners, 2025 was defined by professional consolidation, an expanded international presence, and the advancement of projects of strategic significance. Over the course of the year, we reached a series of milestones that strengthened our architectural philosophy, reinforced our innovation-driven approach, and clarified our long-term vision for the future.

Projects Under Construction and in Preparation

Throughout the year, several major developments entered clearly visible phases of realization. Structural construction commenced on the new building wing of the Buda Health Center; the iconic glass roof was installed at the listed heritage building at Nádor Street 21; and the foundation stone was laid for the World Aquatics headquarters.

In parallel, the design phase of the renovation and transformation of Duna Plaza was completed, while development continued on the Láng District – an ambitious urban regeneration project poised to shape one of Budapest’s most defining areas, District XIII.

District XIII played a particularly significant role in our work throughout the year. This focus received notable professional recognition when our CEO, Dr. Gergely Paulinyi was awarded the District XIII Architectural Prize. The distinction reflects not only individual excellence, but also the firm’s broader urban design ethos and its sustained commitment to the district.

Heritage and Contemporary Interpretation

One of the most significant professional milestones of the year was the completion of the renewal of the Benedictine Abbey of Tihany. The project exemplifies an architectural approach rooted in sensitive engagement with nearly a thousand years of historical layers, complemented by restrained contemporary interventions – reinterpreting heritage through the tools and mindset of the present.

Knowledge Sharing and International Presence

In 2025, we continued to play an active role in shaping professional discourse. We participated in the PropTech Conference and the INFOTÉR ConTech Conference, where our CEO, Dr. Gergely Paulinyi, delivered a presentation exploring the intersections between the construction industry and space technologies.

Internationally, we took part in the Smart Building Tour in Amsterdam and attended the EU Horizon SPACE4Cities conference, also held in Amsterdam. In parallel, and in recognition of our responsibility toward future generations of architects, our colleagues regularly delivered lectures at Hungary’s leading universities.

A particularly important professional achievement was the inclusion of our Urban Energy Scan project in the innovation catalogue of the EU SPACE4Cities programme, reinforcing our strategic direction toward data-driven urban development.

Looking Ahead

The experiences and achievements of the past year have reaffirmed our belief that the future of architecture lies in integrated thinking, technological openness, and responsible city-making.

We move forward into 2026 with new projects, new questions, and the same commitment that has always guided our work in shaping the built environments of the future.
