At the beginning of October, Paulinyi & Partners participated in one of the most prestigious events on the continent, EXPO REAL 2024 in Munich. Dr Gergely Paulinyi DLA summarized the most important lessons for Hungarian architects in his article. The event confirmed that a paradigm shift is taking place in architecture, catalysed by the scientific-technological revolution, changing societal demands and economic expectations.
The author summarised the main lessons in a few sentences:
- Engineering is globalising, but architecture remains local.
- Architecture is increasingly becoming an interdisciplinary science, where the acquisition of new knowledge is becoming a fundamental requirement.
- It is important to focus on machine learning, sustainability and aerospace to be competitive in the international market.
One of the most significant acknowledgements of our investment in innovation has also come from international events. Our Energy Quick Scan rapid analysis process, developed by Paulinyi & Partners Innovations, our firm's construction innovation subsidiary, won the PropTech Startup & Scale-Up Europe Awards, sponsored by the European Commission, in the category "Finance and Invest, Including ESG" in Brussels. A few weeks later, our innovation company was also selected as one of the 25 best companies at the Impact Awards at EXPO REAL in Munich.
