On the 7th of November the foundation stone of Etele Plaza was laid at Kelenföld. The retail centre designed by Paulinyi-Reith & Partners and developed by Futureal Group is likely to become the shopping and entertainment hub of Újbuda.
The gross 137 000 square meters entertainment and shopping center next to the Kelenföld railway station will provide a wide variety of shops, dining and leisure entertainment options for the visitors coming from the neighborhood or the nearby agglomeration. The building aims to meet the sustainability requirements of BREEAM ‘Very Good’ certification and thus plans by P-RP contain sustainable and energy-efficient solutions. It will be the first smart plaza of Budapest with for example a highly sophisticated navigation system that will help visitors finding a free parking plot or an Application to find the exact shop or service that a customer is looking for.
Etele Plaza was awarded on the prestigious International Property Awards as the best Hungarian Retail Development project and isa Five Star Award winner. In addition, together with the Budapest ONE Business Park also designed by Paulinyi-Reith & Partners, was awarded in the Mixed-use Development category as well..
The construction of the building is expected to come to an end in the second half of 2020.
