Paulinyi & Partners participated in the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) for the third time. At this year’s event in Antalya, our group was represented by Roland Németh, Head of Automation Development, who presented our in-house satellite-based construction monitoring solution, Satellite Scanning and Construction Analytics (SaSCA).

The connection between the built environment and space innovation is creating an increasing number of opportunities for the construction industry. At Paulinyi & Partners, our innovation activities therefore place a strong emphasis on exploring how space technology and satellite data processing can support architectural, engineering and project management tasks. Our international presence at IAC is an important part of this work.

Satellite Data Supporting Construction Projects

Roland Németh’s presentation focused on Paulinyi & Partners’ Satellite Scanning and Construction Analytics (SaSCA) solution. The satellite-based construction monitoring and real estate asset monitoring service uses optical and radar satellite imagery to track the physical progress of a development as well as changes occurring across the project site.

One of SaSCA’s key features is that satellite data is not analysed in isolation: it is integrated with design documentation, construction logistics and BIM models. This enables the system to provide regular, objective information on the status of construction and potential deviations, as well as physical and environmental changes taking place across the project site.

Among other applications, SaSCA can support the monitoring of earthworks and landscaping, ground settlement, structural conditions, infrastructure, vegetation, surface water and groundwater conditions. The aim of the solution is to transform data derived from space technology into directly applicable information for the planning, implementation and monitoring of development projects.

Three Days in an International Professional Environment

Roland Németh spent three days at IAC, allowing him to participate in the congress’s professional programme alongside delivering his own presentation. The event provided an opportunity to gain first-hand insight into current international trends in the space industry and space technology, exchange knowledge with experts, and further strengthen Paulinyi & Partners’ international professional network.

During the congress, he also met with members of the Hungarian delegation, making IAC an opportunity not only for international networking but also for strengthening professional dialogue with representatives of Hungary’s space sector.

Paulinyi & Partners’ third participation at IAC reflects our ongoing commitment to exploring the points where different fields of technology intersect with the construction industry. We believe that innovation creates real value when cutting-edge technologies provide practical solutions to specific challenges in other industries.

The development of SaSCA embodies this approach by harnessing the potential of space technology and satellite data processing to support the development of the built environment and enable more effective monitoring of construction projects.
